Papaw’s Garden Supply: Helping The Next Generation To Grow With   Nature.

The ‘Strike Bush’ is a heavy yielding 5” bean with great flavor. While it is very popular with commercial growers it is also ideal for home gardeners because of its earliness, its productivity, its flavor, and the fact that plants yield over a remarkably long period of time. The pods are round, medium green, slender, and stringless, coming in a concentrated set for easy harvesting. The beans have a very pleasant texture when cooked, and they maintain their flavor after freezing for winter use. Perfect for the home garden, and favored by large-scale producers for their ability to ship and store well. The Strike Green Bean variety is BCMV and NY15 resistant. Try growing Strike in larger containers or solid seeded rows.  The pods grow at the top of the plant for easy picking.

How to Grow Your Strike Treated Bush Green Beans:

  • Suggested Planting Depth: ½-1 inches in rows or solid seeded
  • Suggested Planting Seasons:   Spring, Summer, Fall
  • Suggested Final Plant Spacing:  2-4 inches apart
  • Suggested Planting Configuration: Single row or solid seeded wide row block
  • Maintain a weed-free seed bed in full sun and with adequate moisture
  • Seeds are treated so handle seed with proper PPE
