Sweet Banana Heirloom Pepper variety is a wonderful heirloom variety with good old-fashioned taste also called yellow wax peppers. The large, pointed fruits measure 6-7" long and 1½" across and  mild yellow peppers ultimately turn into brilliant red ones. It's a popular pepper variety for pickling. The banana pepper gets its name because its color and shape look like a banana. Seeds can be sown directly into the garden when soil is warm or started in containers and transplanted when several inches tall.

How to Grow Your Sweet Banana Heirloom Pepper:

  • Suggested Planting Depth: ¼” inches in trays under lights
  • Suggested Planting Seasons:  Spring or Summer
  • Suggested Final Plant Spacing:  24 inches apart
  • Suggested Planting Configuration: Single Row or Solid seeded Wide row block, transplant when night temperatures are above 50F
  • Maintain a weed-free seed bed in Full sun and with adequate moisture.
