Red Peter Hot Pepper Seed produces good yields of 1" wide and circumcised male organ-shaped peppers, which make some blush. The fruits are hot with a SHU range of 50K to 70K and turn from green to red when they mature. Peter peppers are adaptable to a variety of growing conditions. The pod of the pepper is wrinkled and has a round tip with a cleft. Peter peppers are approximately 3 to 4 inches in length, and 1 to 1.5 inches wide when fully mature. This hot pepper is one of the best peppers for drying to make chili powder.

  • Suggested Planting Depth: ¼” inches in trays under lights indoors
  • Suggested Planting Seasons:  Spring
  • Suggested Final Plant Spacing:  24 inches apart
  • Suggested Planting Configuration: Single Row or Solid seeded Wide row block
  • Maintain a weed-free seed bed in Full sun and with adequate moisture
