Papaw’s Garden Supply: Helping The Next Generation To Grow With Nature.

Hatch-Certified Ms. Junie Chile is one of the most sought-after peppers because of its exceptional reputation for flavor and versatility. The pepper is grown in the Hatch Valley region of New Mexico. Ms. Junie peppers are 6 to 10 inches long and have mild heat, averaging 5K to 10000+ Scoville Heat Units typically.  The long thick peppers mature from green to red and can be used green or red, but their heat level is spicier when they’re red. Hatch peppers are typically not quite as spicy as Jalapenos, but the heat level can vary.

How to Grow Your Hatch-Certified Ms. Junie Chile:

  • Suggested Planting Depth: 1/4 inches in trays under lights indoors
  • Suggested Planting Seasons:  Spring
  • Suggested Final Plant Spacing:  24 inches apart
  • Suggested Planting Configuration: Single Row or Solid seeded Wide row block
  • Maintain a weed-free seed bed in Full sun and with adequate moisture
  • Always wear proper PPE when handling Hot Pepper Seeds.
