Papaw’s Garden Supply: Helping The Next Generation To Grow With Nature.

An Italian classic, 'Di Cicco' is a superb Heirloom Broccoli variety, producing numerous small to medium-sized heads well into the summer for delicious broccoli more often! We recommend harvesting the main head when it is 3" in diameter; this will encourage side shoots. 'Di Cicco' is a good freezer variety; leaves are edible and cooked like chard. Seeds are excellent for sprouting!

How to Grow Your De Cicco Heirloom Broccoli:

  • Suggested Planting Depth: ¼ in in cells under lights
  • May be started early under lights indoors and gently transplanted outside in approximately 4 weeks
  • Suggested Planting Seasons: Spring, Late Summer, Fall
  • Suggested Final Plant Spacing:  18 inches after transplanting
  • Suggested Planting Configuration: Single row or solid wide row block
  • Maintain a weed-free seed bed in full sun and with adequate moisture
