Papaw’s Garden Supply: Helping The Next Generation To Grow With   Nature.

Grow a lot of beans in a smaller space. Blue Lake Heirloom Pole Bean sets pods from the base to the top of the vines. So, you'll have plenty for eating fresh and processed beans. Produces heavy yields of straight, smooth 6” pods that are crisp and stringless young, never limp. They cook up tender, with full-bodied Blue Lake flavor. Like other pole beans, they require support or a trellis. Vines grow to 8 feet long.  For a tender texture, harvest beans when they are young and succulent. For top yields, keep picking throughout the season or the plant will stop producing.

How to Grow Your Blue Lake Pole Green Beans:

  • Suggested Planting Depth: ½-1 inches in rows or solid seeded
  • Suggested Planting Seasons:   Spring, Summer, Fall
  • Suggested Final Plant Spacing:  2-4 inches apart
  • Suggested Planting Configuration: Single row or solid seeded wide row block
  • Maintain a weed-free seed bed in full sun and with adequate moisture
